We are a group of people currently living on the West Coast of Scotland. We have set up Acorn Co-operative with the aim of purchasing a patch of land and building affordable homes with enough land from which to live a sustainable lifestyle. Our aim is to be as self sufficient as possible and to be an educational resource for others who wish to live in a similar way.

It is very challenging to find a legal and affordable way to build a sustainable development; planning permission is just one of hurdles to be leaped. We believe that this way of living is of benefit to everybody and have found a legal and practical way to make it happen. Would you like to join us?

We are looking for people who would like to join our co-operative and live on the land that we intend to purchase. We are also looking for investors who would like to purchase loanstock from Acorn Co-operative on which interest will be paid at a rate between 0 - 3.5% (you decide the rate). A lot of investments have dubious ethics these days. This project is a way to invest your money in a transparent ethical project which has the goal of benefitting all. Everybody wins.
